As a kid I remember exploring the stables and finding the old pub sign for the Joiners Arms (now the New Inn?) in The Square, certainly James Biddle, Joe’s father was landlord there in 1901. The other treasure was a book of unused tickets for a Littlethorpe Jubilee to celebrate Victorias 60 year reign in 1897. To my shame I also remember practicing with my catapult and smashing some windows on the upper floor of the barn (why glazed windows in a barn?).
