The 1947 Winter in Littlethorpe, Leicestershire

While my dad was out with The Power Jets team and their jet engine blasting through snowdrifts across Leicestershire.

Nev Duncan and the local Littlethorpe lads dug a tunnel through The Narrows to create a passage through the snowdrift that blocked the road. At the Cosby Road end they built a roofed igloo. They enjoyed this for several days while of school.
